One of the many activities available at the Senior Citizens Drop-In Center in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, today's egg painting class promises to be a fun experience. Participants will take a real egg and create an intricate design using bees wax and dye. The class runs 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and costs $25.

Jars of dye for the eggs

Instructor Anna Lefave shows participants how to draw the lines on their eggs for their designs.

Anna lights candles in order to melt the wax that they use to draw the lines on their eggs to maintain the design in the dye
Heating the stylus or "kystka" which is used to apply wax to the egg. The wax keeps the dye from reaching that part of the egg.
