The Scout's panel of experts reveal who they currently plan to pick in their 2019/20 Fantasy Premier League starting squads.

Mat Ryan (BHA) £4.5m

I like to go for value goalkeepers. He seemed the best option at £4.5m and has a strong opening round of fixtures.

Andrew Robertson (LIV) £7.0m

Liverpool are a great defence and Robertson can provide regular attacking returns too.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV) £7.0m

I’ve doubled up as Alexander-Arnold should provide goals and assists too. He ended last season in great form.

Aymeric Laporte (MCI) £6.5m

The centre-back offers the most reliable way into a rotation-prone Manchester City defence. He is a good aerial threat from set pieces and regularly in the bonus points.

Lucas Digne (EVE) £6.0m

Everton have great opening fixtures and Digne is also involved in a number of set-pieces to further boost his FPL points potential.

Mohamed Salah (LIV) £12.5m

The best player in the league, Salah is a regular captain option and could be on penalties if James Milner (£5.5m) has his minutes managed.

Raheem Sterling (MCI) £12.0m

He looks likely to be the highest-scoring FPL asset from the best attack in the Premier League. Another solid captaincy option.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (EVE) £8.0m

A great value player who can compete with the more expensive picks from top six sides. Sigurdsson has excellent fixtures, plus he's on penalties.

Luka Milivojevic (CRY) £7.0m

The penalty king. I fancy him to benefit from even more spot-kicks with Video Assistant Referees (VAR) in town.

Joshua King (BOU) £6.5m

Another VAR target with a great pair of opening fixtures, he offers a cheap route into the AFC Bournemouth attack.

Glenn Murray (BHA) £6.0m

Despite being a bit of a punt, Murray is a consistent performer providing reasonable value. He has a good set of early fixtures.

Substitutes
David Button (BHA) £4.0m

A cheap back-up 'keeper if Mat Ryan is ever absent for Brighton & Hove Albion.

Martin Kelly (CRY) £4.0m

Could be an unlikely £4.0m starting defender given Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.5m) has moved to Manchester United.

Leander Dendoncker (WOL) £4.5m

Probably the best option from the budget midfield options to sit on the bench and be used when needed.

Connor Wickham (CRY) £4.5m

Could potentially see some minutes, he is another inexpensive bench-filler.
