Navigating the Future of Cannabis-focused Enterprise at SXSW 2019: New Cannabusiness Track
New for the SXSW 2019 Conference, we are excited to introduce the Cannabusiness Track from March 14-16. In the midst of new economic opportunities related to cannabis, we've created three days of programming dedicated to exploring the tech, politics, and culture of the budding ecosystem.
"We at SXSW feel that the cannabis industry is uniquely positioned to evolve into a positive force that will resonate throughout the globe," said SXSW Conference Programmer Adam Wode. "Cannabis represents a huge opportunity for entrepreneurs and innovators who are looking to establish themselves in an industry that is just beginning to mature."
Cannabusiness Track programming will focus on the myriad of ways you can start a business in the cannabis industry and feature high-level discussions on how the industry could grow. Hear from speakers about the evolving consumer base that is challenging the stereotypes of the typical cannabis user, and learn more about the boom in medicinal and wellness-focused products.
"Beyond the opportunities in enterprise, the medicinal benefits of cannabis have the potential to positively impact millions of lives. We're excited to provide a platform for the creative minds who are establishing the industry as we know it," said Wode. Stay tuned for programming announcements this fall.
SXSW Conference programming is organized into 25 Tracks – including Cannabusiness – divided between Interactive, Film, Music, and Convergence, presented in a variety of session formats. As a Convergence Track, all Cannabusiness sessions will be open to all SXSW badgeholders.
